I was asked was asked by an acquaintance whether Adam & Eve had belly buttons. He took me by surprise and I replied that I didn`t know and that I would find out.
Now I have thought about it and studied it there is no way Adam or Eve could have had belly buttons. In order to have belly buttons they would have had to have been born naturally, but God made Adam out of the earth and breathed life into him. Eve was made from a rib taken from Adam when he was asleep.
Even though they both died spiritually, God still loved them and clothed them and helped them survive in the world that they had contaminated by their sinning against God.
Regardless of this, God still wanted Adam & Eve to populate the earth.For God knew that eventually as man increased upon the earth, that through one of the bloodlines He would accomplish His great plan to bring salvation back to man through His Son`s death and resurrection.
So as Adam & Eve`s children were born, what a wonderful testament that must have been to their offspring,when they saw that they had no bellybutton, and they had to explain why.
